If You Really Knew Me...

Welcome, welcome new readers! Since I’ve acquired quite a bit of new followers lately, I thought it’d be fun to do a little getting to know me post today. Let’s get Monday started off on a positive note!

If you really knew me, you’d know that…

I have a love of trashy, reality TV. Housewives, celebrity wife swap, Don’t Be Tardy, and many many more shows currently grace our DVR. In my defense, I will say that I’ve cut back a lot on these but I do still enjoy watching a few core shows. What can I say? These crazy people make me feel normal!

I love collecting vintage lunch boxes. You know, the ones made with lethal amounts of lead, metal, and complete with a thermos. If I could find this classic Smurf lunch box, I’d be the happiest girl EVAH. I actually owned this one growing up and wish I still had it.

I’m horrible about shaving my legs whether it be summer or winter. All that work for minimal payback is just exhausting. I mean, it’s all just coming right back after a day or two anyway. Why bother? {I know what you’re all thinking – that Michael is one lucky guy!}

I have an irrational fear of needles. How I was able to have a child is beyond me.

I am very much a home body. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good night out or a trip here and there but mostly, I’d much rather be home.

I have two younger sisters, Ashley and Jordan. There’s a pretty big age difference between us, too. There are 7 years between me and Ashley and 15 years between me and Jordan.

I lost my grandfather in February and every day I miss him so much my heart hurts.
I popped the news to Michael that I was pregnant with this kitchen timer. It’s a pretty cute story but I’ll share that later in another post. :-)

The Great Gatsby is my favorite book and I read it at least once a year.

I'm pretty certain I could live the rest of my life off of Mexican food and sushi.

How about you? What are some things to know about you?

  1. Such fun facts! I'll have to share some sometime! One thing is I'm a double pastor's kid. Both my mom and dad are pastors! I never lived up to the rebel pastor's kid idea though.

  2. We can be homebodies together. If we take turns hosting, only one of will actually be a homebody!

  3. mmm Mexican. Chris hates it. And pasta. all the good things in life basically.
I hate shaving. Worst idea ever. If I shave too often I end up getting a rash, so really it is just super sexy either way...hairy or bumpy.
    Fun post =)

  4. Loved this post!
Give me a night in any day of the week. Homebodies for the win.
If we didn't spend every afternoon at the pool I would totally forego shaving altogether.
Mexican and sushi? Yep, sign me up for that for the rest of my life (just please don't make me do the cooking).

Random bit about me: I have a slight OCD issue in my closet. My clothes MUST be lined up by season, according to ROY-G-BIV. I'm such a weirdo.

  5. This was way fun. With a capital F.
We are so much alike. Mexican, Italian and Sushi YUM!!
I love to read ( like its my job) and WINE. I am a homebody and what did we ever do without reality TV? I mean housewives, chefs , celebrities OH MY!!
Helpful hint : USE conditioner to shave - yep good old hair conditioner (moisturizing kind ) and change your razor blade/head (Venus) every few weeks (30days) and keep your razor in a holder hanging in the shower or out of the shower all together. Never store it face down on the ledge of your tub or shower (that is a good way to gather bacteria that can cause razor bumps/burn) - Do this and you may find you have a whole new outlook on shaving!!!

  6. that tea pot rocks! I can't wait to read that story!
